To our President and Representatives,

We, the Citizens, apologize for having forced you to go begging to corporations to raise the money needed to get and keep your jobs. We understand how difficult it is for you to do the job of serving the People in this setting.

Please forgive us.

The cost of recruiting the best to represent us and manage our $4.5 trillion a year Federal government needs to be part of the federal budget. This includes local candidates, as this is a training ground for our future leaders.

We, the People of the USA, in order to secure our lives, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and restore the vigor of our Republic, petition that a law be passed:

1. Crediting each citizen with $100 per year to designate as they will to the candidate(s) of their choice.
2. This may go to any candidate(s) registered to run for public office at any level.
3. To receive and accept these funds, a candidate must agree that ALL funds they receive from any source will be completely transparent as to their original source, and how they are spent.
4. That this process be administered through a nonpartisan commission insulated from political pressures and directed to be certain that ALL citizens over 18 be able to exercise this essential role in choosing their representatives as easily as possible. The contribution designated by each citizen would go directly from the U.S. Treasury to the candidate’s campaign fund.

By doing this, we seek to restore our freedom. And yours. To serve the public as you intended when your heart called you to Public Service.
